Help is here!!
Alternative/herbal medicines?
I have been using them for 3-4 months now, and the pounds seem to be dropping off. Im currently taking some tablets that supress my apittite and others that increase my metabolism to burn off the excess fat. They also work out quite cheap aswell, my average spending is about £25-£30 for 4 months worth of tablets!

Don't drink your calories!
I am a Weight Watchers fan. I have lost 59 lbs. from Nov. 15, 2006. Please, do yourself a big favor and do not drink your calories away in a Slimfast shake. Of course they work, they are only 225 calories. But you will be hungry sooner and more likely to eat something you should not when you do get hungry.
Would you not rather have 2 pieces of light bread (1 pt), toasted. Use I can't believe its not butter spray (0 pts), Add 1 slice of lowfat cheese (2 pts), and sliced tomatoes. This is all for 3 points!
Kashi has new TCL bars. They are 2 points per bar. Keep them in your car, in your locker, in your book bag. This is to hold you until you can get a decent lunch or dinner.
Lean Cuisine already has WW point values on them. Most are very good compared to the WW frozen food. They are easy, nor preservatives, and no brainers.
Salad with a cooked one chicken breast (100 calories = 2 pts.) with grilled onions & peppers. Add chopped tomatoes. Use salsa instead of high calorie/high fat dressing. This large satifying salad is total of 2 points!
Most soup is good too! If you get too much sodium, drink plenty of water. This will equalize it!

Hi there, dont depair!
Hi,Im waterlily33, Im currently on slimfast and I feel GOOD.I've only been on this diet a week, but it feels better than any diet I've done before. The thing is ,for me it takes the emphasis off food because I have it all planned out and dont have to think the fatal question"Hmmm what shall I eat today?" For breakfast I have a slimfast smoothie, mid morning I have a slimfast snack bar (100 cals), for lunch I have a slimfast chicken, veg and pasta soup which is LOVELY (if you like the taste of celery with bits of waterchestnut and pulses thrown in with the chicken and veg, I do!) Mid afternoon I have another slimfast snack bar, the peanut caramel one is great)and then for evening meal I cook a low carb, low fat dinner which is less than 600 cals with plenty of veg.In the evening I snack on pink lady apples which I LOVE and carrot sticks. I need to lose about 40lbs altogether so I would value your support as I've only just started and only lost 4 lbs so far(not bad in a week though!) I dont have much time to try out new recipes but one is; stir fry- diced turkey/chicken breast, beansprouts, onion, garlic, assor ted veg with a liitle brown rice and soy sauce or seasoning.Tesco value cod steaks in butter sauce are quite low fat and I have one with a little mashed potato and lots veg.I also have tuna steaks which I marinade with chinese spices from our local chinese food shop, I eat these with a small amount of brown rice and lots of cooked veg.Sometimes I have a ready meal which is curry and have loads of extra cooked veg with it if I am cooking something for my family that is high calorie and I havent got time to cook something different for myself.I like to make a low fat curry with diced chicken or turkey, loads of onion and garlic and veg, with brown rice.I kind of make the recipes up as I go along really, using up whatever fresh veg I happen to have in the house. Slimfast has all the vitamins and minerals you could need, and I have found it fillin satisfying, and I have had no cravings or hunger.I also do not feel deprived as I enjoy what I eat.I finally feel in control of my eating, I just hope I can keep it up! I have three kids and Im dreading Easter as there will be loads of chocolate in our house, therefore loads of temptation.Last year my husband bought me a giant egg, but I've asked him not to this year!Im not sure how to deal with the problem this year, last year I just gave in and ate loads of chocolate, but this year Im thinking of asking my husband to buy me a lovely silver ring I like,(from Monsoon) as a pledge that I will not touch chocolate.Do you think this is a bit extreme?I thought that if I had it as a present I could look at it when tempted by chocolate and it might be a reminder that I have promised not to have any chocolate.I ahvent actually promised this yet of course, but I am considering it! I'd love to hear what others think of this idea.
I hope this is some help to you,It would be great to hear from you to hear how you are getting on. .All the best from Waterlily
