To Juney, I had been following your dialogue with Rita, who I note really helped you in your first week, and I just wanted to say a huge WELL DONE to you for doing so well. 9.5lb is truly amazing, and having lost about 3 stone last year on the CD (gained back about 10lbs) I KNOW how hard those intial days are. It's great when you get past that though, you feel invincible, but it DOES get harder. Luckily you have a lot of support from your counsellor. I think having a bloke counselling you must be a plus, as they just give it to you straight! Now, I mentioned earler that I have re-gained some of the weight I lost, I have yo-yo'd up and down since my initial weight loss, but I'm in the position now, where I want to lose a stone in time for my hols on 7th June. I intend to start CD again on Friday, but unlike you, I find it harder to do 2nd or 3rd time around, because you know it's gonna be tough - but then the results are worth it! I hope you are doing well in your 2nd week, as you are inspiring me too to do well. Good luck and keep it up, and if there is anyone else out there who'd like to go on the journey with me/us who have some CD stock leftover (for 2 weeks), there's a lot that can do in 14 days! Annie.

Thanx for your words of encouragement Rita is doing so well know.Well done to you for losing 3stone initially. That was some result you know you can do it has you,ve been there before.I think the key to losing weight on cd is to keep your self hydrated, busy and lots of sleep.my problem is to keep the weight of after and follow the rules to the letter after sol sourse. Then to eat sensible. My councillor and is wife lost tons of weight between them they lost it about the same time i did mine, i put all mine back on,but they have both kept there,s of so its very do able.I dont think there've got any special powers has iv known them for some time and used to talk to them at the gym, we both shared the same councillor. But know they've become councillors themseves. Its much easier for me know because ihad to travell about 30 miles before, know my councillor lives in the same village.Hope you,ve got yoursef organised for friday.I think the first shake on the road to recovery is the one that count's.good luck juney xxx

Hi Juney, Thanks for your encouragement too. Even though I've done it in the past, I do appreciate your tips, and support, as you can forget how it was. I woke up this morning with a cold, not knowing if I had the mental strength to start CD, but I DID it! First day down, feeling a little wobbly but not too bad. I am doing 3 CD's plus a white & green meal (you will know what I mean!), as knowing I have a dinner to look forward to in the evening keeps me going. Even before, I only managed SS for 1 week, and the "add-a-meal" thereafter but still managed to lose 3 stone. This time round, I am hoping to lose about a stone, I know CD isn't normally recommended when you don't have much to lose, but I see it as a continuation of where I was. I am basically going to try to stick to it, for next 2 weeks, in order to be able to put back a few pounds whilst on holiday! I know that's "yo-yo ing", but if I was able to eat normal portion sizes and wasn't addicted to chocolate, I wouldn't have to take such drastic measures! Plus, I figured, this has to be better than continuing to binge eat and end up getting bigger and bigger... there comes a time when you have to rein yourself in, and I choose to do it in a way where I will see fast results. How are you getting on in your WEEK 2? Remember to tell me how much you've lost, as that'll keep me going!! Good Luck, Annie.

You must be on day 4 know how's it going.I to am a chocolick. So i can empathise with you on that one,i eat when im board or not happy with life rather than change what it is thats made me eat i eat its easier and less confrontational. Then i dislike myself. So this is an area i must work on.When i did cd before i worked through the ss had good results, but fell down when i started to add food to my diet.So iknow that this time i'v got to take a firm hand and plan my week. I work all sorts of crazy shifts and can make this my excuse to fail, but not this time.I realise that there are things iv got to change to stop this continuing yo yo-ing and it will be really helpfull if iv got someone to follow who has sucsess with add a meal so ill be looking for guidance. On to a more positive note the weight is shifting. This week i get weighed on wednesday, has iv a funneral on tuesday.KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK LUV JUNEY XXX

Hi Juney, I admire your resolve. Unfortunately you are in "a better place" than I am right now. I fell off the wagon at the weekend. I know it's a lousy excuse, but the weather was so dismal, and I have this cold, so I think I ate to cheer myself up! I had had 2 big fry-ups each day, and really enjoyed them of course, but now I am staying well away from the scales, until I know I can get back some kind of sensible balance in my diet, then have another crack at CD. As my holiday date draws nearer, I will probably have another shot at it, as you know it is possible to shed a half stone in a matter of days, so I hope I get that determination back again. Even though I'm not following my own advice, I am still interested in hearing how you do in your official way in tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised if you hit the stone mark! If you choose to do 'add a meal' at any point, I would suggest you stick to white fish or skinless chicken with vegetable, and there is a nice low-fat sauce on the market made by Schwartz to be eaten with white fish, it is basically tomato and onion, with rosemary, and it makes a boring dish, really quite tasty. You could also add it to your chicken. I know you want to stick to the CD to the letter, so this might not work for you, but if you are feeling you want to deviate a bit (in the future, when it becomes tiresome), it is best to add a low fat sauce, than go off the deep end and go for something more naughty (like chocolate!). When I lost my big weight last year, I also had a hard boiled egg, salad and low fat heinz salad cream sometimes, and still got good results each week. Hope all goes well tomorrow! Anne x
