Day 8 of cd and starting to struggle!! anyone here

Hi,
Ive been on the cambridge diet for 8 days now and was really pleased with my first weigh in ( 11 pounds loss) but now ive started a new week and im wondering if i can continue this for another week never mind 2/3 months!!!

I know my weight loss is going to slow down and maybe thats why im feeling slightly negative as i wonder if im only going to lose a few pounds a week on the cd couldnt i do that on a different diet where you can eat??

Is there anyone else in the early stages of the cd diet who would like a buddie? maybe it would be easier if we could chat to someone going through the same thing???

Donna

On day 9

I broke the diet yesterday and really regret it. (A mouthfull of pasta, a whole packet of biscuits and then a further two choc biscuits)I have gone straight back to it today and am so pleased that I stopped eating when I did! I had terrible stomach ache afterwards!

I lost 6lbs the first week with no blips. I have lost two pound this week with yesterday's blip so a total of 8 altogether. I have a stone and half to go....

I wish you all the luck in the world and would love to share thoughts, insperation and misery stories to do with the CD diet! xx

Hi

Hi Donna,

Second time round for me on cd! Last time i did it in March for a month and i lost 15lbs, The first 3 days i followed it like i was suppose to but by day 3 i thought stuff it and only had 2 shakes a day but had skimmed milk too with my tea, as i do like to drink tea. In those 4 weeks i had about 3 days off too! plus during week 2 and 3 i was snacking on boiled eggss, cheese , and chicken and still satayed in ketosis!! what i found out is cd is similar to atkins in both diets you only eat about 21grams of carbs a day, and eggs, chi, cheese and meats dont have carbs! now im back on it and i have bought some carb free sweets too and they taste lush!! there is a website www.avilite.co.uk you can buy loads of carb free stuff and its not expensive!! if your hungry eat some eggs or chicken, it wont make a differnce. Keep going you have done so well.

You sound like a pro Rita..

Any advice for mid morning hunger pangs? x

Hi lillyshoefairy

hi,

what a fab name! i love it,

i had to a admit im certainly a pro in eating!!got a stone to go now, after years of my weight going up and down, i realized that the main problem was carbs !! soon as i cut down on them the weight and inches fly off!

mid morning snacks it depends on how your loosing weight. if on the cd, ll, or atkins def go for chicken slices or cheese, or even better get some carb free chocolate or sweets they are calorie free and carb free and they taste really good!

seriously try them, you can get them off avidlite.co.uk or ebay.

Good luck
