Prepare for marathon running

Does anyone know of a good exercise to prepare for marathon in one month?? I wonder if I should go to the Cracovia Marathon. I have already bought a good shoes.

My friends who joined a recent marathon in our place just jogged daily; weeks before the event. They made it a routine activity. They did fine during the event
