Toning up thighs and bum advice sought

I'm a young adult and my aim isn't to lose weight but to have firmer tighs and bum.
The only problem is that I don't want to end up with huge upper thigh muscles (pear shaped figure).

Do you have any advice on how to achieve my aim?
What kind of exercises can help tone up the muscle without making it look huge?

Try out aerobics in the comfort of your home

What you need is a toned body and the best thing for you would be aerobics.

Well I suggest that you practice aerobics by yourself and in the comfort of your house all alone. What could be more better than practising along with a video tutorial, without having to do those strenious exercises in the gym.

This has proven effective in my case. I too wanted to get into shape and came across this trailer called My Make up DVD trailer at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SafNTkBWovI, after which i ordered this DVD and practised along with it regularly. And I got to feel the change within 15 days.

Watch it and you also would be benefited the way i did. Stay in shape and have fun at the same time..t

Re toning up thighs and bum advice sought

I highly recommend yoga. Find a yoga class in your area. The internet also has a lot of information.

Try

a pilates class, it's very good for toning, and soft on your articulations and your back. Aerobic classes can be bad for your knees and even your spine.

Aerobics classes are a good idea, I go to a "bums, tums & thighs" class which gets you toned nicely. I'm the same as you, I want to be firm but not actually lose any weight... I've always found aerobics classes work well for me, have done them for years.
