3 weeks long enough??

i'm 5'4'' size 8-10 and my weight fluctuates between 8.5 and 9 stone (i'm 23). although i know i'm not fat i do have a bit of a belly, love handles and my thighs could do with toning up!

i HATE exercise with a passion and LOVE food and drink too much :S

i went for a run yesterday and realised just how unfit i am as i felt dizzy after 10 minutes (i did run fairly fast and half of it was uphill in my defense!)

do you think i can make a difference to my appearance and start to lose the love handles after 3 weeks of a bit of running everyday? i also have a rowing machine? (i don't want to diet at all but i am trying to make an effort not to binge on sweet things as i normally do).

it's just that i have a party to go to with people i haven't seen in a while and i want them to notice!

reckon i can do it??

Re "3 weeks long enough??"

regular exercise. A friend also cut back the portions of her meals, and voila! she her excess fats/weight in a month. Of course she won't be toned if she did not regularly exercise.

"3 weeks long enough??"

Hi Laura

I know how frustrating the unwanted love handles are and in my experience, there is no quick fix.

However, half an hour of jogging (daily) will improve your fitness levels as well as torch calories and you will notice a little difference within three weeks but nothing major.

I have recently been working out for 1 hour and a half each day (and have a low fat, healthy diet) and am noticing a good improvement in my fitness but toning is very slow.

It is a long process, but it will be worth it.

Good luck and have fun!
