I've decided it's time to get back into doing some exercise! I've recently had an operation on my leg so the doctor told me to get back into sport gradually and gently. I thought that swimming would be a good start but the local pools are quite expensive. Has anyone got any ideas about other sports I could try?

Try a matwork Pilates class, this is a great way to rehabilitate safely. No impact whatsoever and you will strengthen legs and arms while developing core strength and improving your balance and posture.
Make sure you find a qualified instructor and advise them of your operation. They will adapt exercises so that they are safe for you.
Good luck : )

Hi, my boyfriend has an artificial hip so can't do too much strenuous stuff - he doesn't like swimming, which would be ideal, so he does home yoga and a little light walking (which helps to keep the hip supple). Good luck!
