Did anyone else know this

I have just had a mastectomy. I am 39 years old and having just had my 7th operation on the same side my left one. I decided to ask what has caused all the lumps.

It turns out it is ill-fitting bras in my teenage years. I jest not. I have spoken with Breast Cancer Care nurse for over 3 hours last week and she said the only way this could be founded was if the lumps had occurred in exactly the same place - which they had.

I really want to prevent other young women going through what I have and have a website www.brafittingawareness.co.uk for such information etc.

I am also penalised and cannot get health/life insurance as I am not free of hospital appointments for five years.

I have therefore set up an e-petition to help others like me

I have also set another one up for Travel Insurance as many people with chronic illness cannot get Travel Insurance without paying a huge excess.

I just want you to no i admire people like you. Even tho you are ill you are still thinking of others and trying to help.

Since posting my last message I have now discovered wearing an ill-fitting bra can cause backache, shoulder pain but as I well know can cause breast lumps.

If anyone says what about research, my answer is research is expensive. Wearing the correct sized bra isn't.
