Food combining
there is a school of thought on food combining and its effects to decrease gas. supposedly, there are different enzymes in the stomach that correlate with the food groups that aid in digestion. fruit, vegetables, protein, and starches each have their own enzyme. these enzymes do not always work together depending on the foods you are eating. for example, fruit digestive enzymes do not work at the same time as any other enzyme. also fruit is mostly water, so it is easily digested by your stomach. therefore, fruits should not be mixed with any other food group because if they are then the fruit will get backed up in your stomach by the other food and sit there decomposing and thus giving you gas. vegetables can be mixed with starch and protein, but starch cannot be mixed with protein. try this diet plan for a couple of weeks and see if you notice a difference!
