What does wellbeing actually mean?

My doctor recently advised me to look after myself more and invest in my wellbeing. What do you guys think wellbeing actually is?

Re "what does wellbeing actually mean?"

I believe it's not only about your physical health, it's also about your emotional and spiritual health. Based on experience, what you feel spiritually and emotionally usually reflects on your physical health. Balancing these aspects of your life, can have a tremendous impact on your life

Taking a wider view of your health

Spent a lot of time thinking about diet, exercise......... but took friends to point out a holistic approach would have a longer term effect. Started off with massages, preferable to jogging anyway. As it turns out, it's been more beneficial in creating balance between mind and body (sounds pretentious but.......) works well when you have the right support (checkout www.gardenofedenuk.com)

Wellbeing

well, to me it just means looking after yourself in all aspects of life, not just health and diet. its doing what you can to feel good day to day. to be healthy, happy, unstressed, full of beans, content etc. a big part of that, is, obviously diet and exercise. and by 'diet', i dont necessarily mean a weight reducing diet. i mean it in its more general sense. just what you eat every day. eating fruit, vegetables, unprocessed food, drinking water, wholegrains, lean protein, etc. what we all know we should be eating. plus keeping up to a form of exercise we enjoy, not trying to push ourselves going to the gym every day. if thats what you enjoy, then go for it! but it just has to be something that you can personally keep up to, and actually enjoy. personally, i do quite a bit of walking, and also i have a wii-fit, which i really love! i do like 30 minutes a day on it, when i can fit it in, but i only miss one or more rarely, two days a week. cut down on caffeine, sugar, saturated fat. just looking after yourself so you feel happy within yourself.
