Ovarian cyst

I am Lucy, 18 years old and looking for some advice. I have just been diagnosed with a cyst on my right ovary. It is 13cmx7cm and am having it removed n a couple of weeks. The gyn isn't sure which type it is but thinks it is some type of dermoid cyst. He said he may have to remove the ovary because of the position of it. I am not sure if i am having a laparoscope or open surgery but I was wondering if anyone knows how long the hospital stay is and overall recovery time and how long after i can get back to uni. I have just started uni and have already missed 2 weeks because i am in a lot of pain and just don't feel right. Any comments would be really appreciated as i am quite nervous.
