There's no need to be afraid!!!
Am I right, that the FLU is influenza? I am from Austria, so I have problems with some words. But if I'm right and the flu and influenza are the same, then you don't have to be afraid of injections.
I think you won't get an injection by this illness. There is no really good medicament for this disease. You just have to drink much tea and water, stay in bed, avoid smoking, and if your body temperature is too high, you have to reduce it with some pills. But there is nothing else you can do about it. In one week it'S over.
I've had the flu last week and I just took pills against (can I say against, or do I have to say FOR?!) my sore throat. So I really don't think, that you will get an injection and if you get one though, it won't do any harm. The positive thing about an injection is, that it will work immediately, because it is immediately in the blood.
I got my last injection 4 years ago and it was because I ot an OP and it didn't hurt, I even didn't feel it at all. My father got nearly 30 injections in the last 2 months, because he has problems with a nerve and he was so glad to get it, becasue the injections reduce the pain.
I don't ahve any fear. Why should I?! Nothing bad can happen. Doctors put on many injections a day, they won't do any mistake.
So then, you really don't have to be afraid! Doctors just help you!
