There are many sites out there but you need to be so careful as to the reliability of the data
Synthetic products are not necessarily more dangerous to the skin than naturals. I can reference times where naturals have caused significant health issues and likewise with synthetics. A major advantage that some synthetics have over naturals is the fact that the quality and reproducibility of the quality is far stricter in certain cases than naturals. This means that what you put on your skin is what the pack is saying you are applying, where as naturals can vary from crop to crop, therefore making it difficult to manage the quality. I always go for the best of both worlds, the product should be safe, preserved correctly and of the highest raw material quality control. Take parabens for example, there is to my knowledge no proven link between cancer and parabens to date, just many scare stories. By its nature a preservative has to be 'harsh' as it job is to destroy microbes, if a product is not preserved correctly this can result in much greater issues to the user. So I guess what I am saying is the consumer is will receive a better quality product and much better protection when a combination of naturals and synthetics are used and as a society we need to get a grip and realise that synthetics are not the bad guy and that NATURALS are not necessarily the good guy!
