St john's wort

is really good for PMT mood swings, but don't take it of you're on the pill because it stops it from working.

Glad it helped!

thanks for the pm, glad you're feeling better.
Hormones, hey!

Aromatherapy can help!

On the web you can search for aromatherapy sites who will suggest essential oils that you can rub on your tummy. I went to an aromatherapy party and the demonstrator gave a friend of mine some oils to help her relax and to rub on her tummy after a bath. This worked!
Hope this helps,

Don't worry!

It's normal to feel absolutely crap at your age, I used to get pain so bad I nearly passed out. Going on the pill will help a bit and make it lighter, so if it's still the same after a few months, maybe go and see your doctor.
There are some special painkillers like Feminax, but they're really strong and used to make me feel lightheaded and even worse, I think you're prob better off with Nurofen.
Hot water bottles on your tummy do wonders, although you can't really walk around all day lke that I spose!
Sometimes ginger tea helps and hot baths and just generally treating yourself and relaxing.
Hope you feel better soon, it's normally only the first couple of days with me xxxxx

Thanks

its starting to feel better no after doing some of the things you said but thanks alot writeback soon xxxx

Your first visit...

Maybe you need to seek a gyneco who'll examine your uterus in order to see what the possible reason can be , before prescribing you some pain killer .Mind you at your age it is quite common to go through these pains.Meanwhile you can drink some tea which you generously flavour with fresh mint .But make sure you seek a gyneco. In some cases a contraceptive pill is prescribed on long term.
Good luck and no worries

Painful periods

I started my periods when I was 10 and I couldn't believe how painful they were. I was too young to go on the pill and had to have a hot water bottle, take painkillers and drink plenty of water - all of which only helped slightly. When I went on the pill I found it helped alot and also I wasn't as heavy. I'm 30 now and my periods are no better than 20 years ago and have had 2 children.

Someone told me that yoga would help but how on earth would anyone feel like doing yoga when you fee like you've been shot in the back and someone's hang gliding from your wotsits?!

Now I take magnesium as it helps with cramps, I also take vit B supplements as well as nurofen and drink plenty of water, I also feel alot better after a nice hot bath. Also no harm in taking evening primrose supplement. I would avoid st johns wort if you're on the pill as it ... up the pill.
