Try "Fabric Interiors" in Studley, Warwickshire. They have an enormous range of designer knitting yarns. Also once a month they hold "Stitch and ... club at a local pub in Alcester, a perfect opportunity to pick up the yarn for your next creation, see new ideas and meet new friends. Go along and see for yourself, remember to take your knitting and take a friend. Give them a call first on 01527 853336.

I found a site for "sirdar" wool, I think you can buy it through the net. Try www.sidar.co.uk I will try and find it again and let you know. A search on the web for knitting wool suppliers will give you some sites to try and they will tell you anywhere locally to you. All the best!

"I like that idea!" Posted by jammy59 6 March at 22:15
Where did you see the pattern for the throw, or are you making it to your own pattern? I would interested in making one of those.

"Shipston on stour" Posted by katy276 10 December at 16:29
If you live anywhere near Shipston on Stour, (South Warwickshire, south of Stratford), there is a fabulous wool shop there, called, I think Shipston Wool Shop. If you stand in the main square facing the pub, it is down the little road to the right.
She had absolutely everything you would need, needles, markers etc and an enormous range of wools and patterns, not just the usual old lady knits.
really inspiring...
