Creating space in a small flat

Has anyone got any ideas about how we can create more space in a small flat? I have a young baby and we're looking for somewhere bigger, but in the meantime we need some space-saving solutions fast!

Throw stuff out

You'll be surprised by how much you can throw out or put on ebay. Try using spaces that you wouldn't normally think of, or that are 'dead space', like under the bed, backs of doors (with hanging storage rather than just loads of stuff on a hook) etc. The Ikea catalogue is always a good source of inspiration!

I try to do it as often as poss (I live in a tiny flat too!)
