STA do some good deals, around £200 return. Not sure if you have to be a student to get those prices though, it might be possible to get them if you're not a student but under a certain age.

Hi, I live in Lincolnshire (UK), East Midlands is the nearest airport but I don't know if you can get flights from there to New York.
