Hello mgrazia

I have a question about Venice:
I've been before and relly enjoyed it, but when is the ebst time to avoid all the hordes of tourists (or isn't there one?!)
Also, where are the most quiet parts?
thanks

The best

period to visit Venice is in autumn-winter... from november to the beginning of march... but not in the Cristmas Period (20th december - 6th january) and during the Carnival...

I live 70km from Venice...I love it! in winter with the fog...it's so magical and beautiful... with less tourist than in spring or summer...

if you want to come...you can flight with Ryanair...from Stensead to Treviso (the nearest city...30km from venice...25minutes by train)

if you want some information, don't hesitate to contact me!

I have visited

venice last march 2004 . it was cold but there aren't many tourists!
the best times you can visit is the low season and I think that now it has began the high season.please wait for november until march...........it was cold and wet but it's good
there aren't quiet parts in this town because it's very small if you consider the typical town.................Hotel are very expensive during the high season. in the centre you could pay an average of 250 euro per person per night..........there is a little town within 15 km by train, by bus It is Mestre, you can have your bedding there, the hotels are less expensive and by train is very simple!
Have a good travel!
