I heard one man saying he didn't like it at all and thought the characters were one-dimensional and that by not condemming racism in the book she was condoning it...I was quite surprised as Andrea Levy is Jamaican herself!

I've just started it, I'm gripped already, she has a lovely way of telling a story.
What did everyone else think?
Radio 4's Book Club was on it on Sunday, I'm going to try and listen again on the net when I've finished. Did anyone catch it?
