As David Lodge in Italy there is Beppe Servergnini. He writes books about Italians. I advise you "Manuale dell'imperfetto viaggiatore" or " Un Italiano in America" These books are very amusing!!

My knowledge in Italian is so thin that I am going to find these books in French I read ten years ago an excellent book written by an Italian author : Rosetta Loy : "un chocolat chez Hanselmann". I don't know what the title is in Italien but I am almot sure that the terme "Hanselmann" is in the title. Do you know it ? Bye
