It's the first time I come on this discussion board. I am French and I would like to know your opinion about David Lodge.
I am very fond how he is telling stories.

I have read some books of David Lodge and the story are very nice. Next days I'll buy others 2 titles because in Italy (I'm italian) there are some discaunt on the books.. Also my English is not very good!!

for yr answer. Italy is a very nice country. Few year ago, I used to go to Bologna for shows at CERSAIE.
Could you let me know an italian author who writes as DL ?

As David Lodge in Italy there is Beppe Servergnini. He writes books about Italians. I advise you "Manuale dell'imperfetto viaggiatore" or " Un Italiano in America" These books are very amusing!!

My knowledge in Italian is so thin that I am going to find these books in French
I read ten years ago an excellent book written by an Italian author : Rosetta Loy : "un chocolat chez Hanselmann".
I don't know what the title is in Italien but I am almot sure that the terme "Hanselmann" is in the title. Do you know it ?
