Hello, my name is Amanda, I am 41 and 16 weeks pregnant with our first child. Its been a bit of a shock but we're getting used to the idea now! I've been really fine physically so far...no sickness or anything. Touch wood!

However, I'm having an amniocentesis next Wednesday and am now getting quite anxious about it bearing in mind my age. We didn't go for the screening tests, decided to go straight for
the amnio - bit worried about what will happen on the day and the result, of course. Has anyone been in or is anyone in a similar position to me? Thanks for any replies!
