Now this is going to sound like the most silly question anyone has ever asked! But, here goes.....I have just watched a child birth video (in detail ) and i was just wondering if any of you ladies could remember the pain? I dont mean contractions, i mean when the baby is actually almost out?! It looks SO painful, stretched to the max. (TMI :$ ) i no thats what we are designed for and all, but wow thats gotta hurt. But i guess at the end of it, you have the cutest distraction x Id just like to hear some birth stories....Thanks

I had a natural labour & the crowning was the worst pain imaginable....times 100.
I had an out of body experience for a few mins it was that sore!
the pain took over my whole body...
but INSTINT relief when the baby is born.
I am now pregnant with my second & will def be having an epidurl after going the full way with nothing!!! lol

Hi.
I had my son 11 years ago and am currently 20 weeks pregnant.
My contractions continued for 33-34 hours, and my son was led with his back against mine, so i had all my contractions in my back ( cant say if this is better or worse, as have nothing to compare it to yet!!)but even though the contractions went on for sooooo long, i'd still have to say that giving birth to the head was the worst part for me...and it was the only time i raised my voice and actually ending up sounding like a cow!!!! It was a real burning sensation for me, and i did tear a little but i have to confess i never went to a single antenatal class so im not sure if knowing the correct breathing techniques may have made it less painful or not?! as soon as i saw my gorgeous baby son in my arms though i just forgot about the pain.

Eveyone's different though hun and it may be a piece of cake for you....im hoping it's going to be for me this time round!!
"Painful!!"

The worst part for me was pushing the head out,i had my son nearky 7yrs ago,and when his head was coming out it was horrible. It felt like i was burning down below, but once the head was out it was really easy.Everybody is different tho,so a painful labour for me might be a easy labour for you.I'm now 9wks preggers, and i'm not at all scared about labour,it's a part of life, and well worth it in the end, plus you get to call your other half all the names under the sun.lol.Good luck and all the best anyway!

"Living tv!"

there are lots of baby and birth programmes on living TV, I've seen a few births on there at around 7:30 / 8 pm. Also on sky there's a baby channel, think its channel 285 or somewhere round there!
Watching the births has helped my fears a bit, I thought I would be terrified if I watched but they made me feel alot better - it just seemed so natural and seeing the Mum's faces as soon as baby was out - the look of sheer adoration and delight just seemed to overcome my fears of the pain!xxx

I couldn't feel my first child, because i had a super epidural. but my second child, although i had an epidural, it only really took the edge off the contractions, but when he was born, i felt like a pop sensation. i wouldn't say it was painful...i think your too busy feeling the contraction before hand and pushing... you stop while the head is being born to catch your breath, and out they come!!
