Thank you to both of you for replying, you have both put my mind at rest but I shall tell my doc all about it, going to see him on Wednesday which I'm really looking forward to! Especially to find out exaclty how far gone I am!

Also congratulations kirsty, when are you due?

"I'm pregnant but got cramps, help, is this normal?"
Posted by janey23 28 April  at  20:26

i found out yesterday that i'm pregnant! i'm so happy but before and now i've been getting cramps, which before i thought were period pains, last 2 weeks! it's like a dull ache in the day but for the past 2 nights i've been waking up with a real bad ache, all other time has only been in the day. i'm worried somethings wrong. i haven't been to my doc yet, am going beginning of next week.
the only way i can describe it when its been bad at night is like the pain you get when you've got diahera (sorry bout spelling) and in the day like i've got wind. could it just be that? i'm going to the toilet normally but i suffer with ibs also. is it normal to have a dull ache in the beginning of a pregnancy? please help???

hey
first off congradulations! i ve only recently found out i am pregnant too. I would consult you GP. i have been having mild cramp pains which i assumed meant i was due my period but never came on. its completely normal to have cramp like pains in your belly. i wouldnt worry too much unless you start to bleed. you may just have wind as i have found at night, i have wind pains.

hope this helps and good luck

"Sickness bug from hell...!"
Posted by popsy25 30 April  at  11:54

Hi

Firstly - congratulations!

I had a lot of stomach aches and actually had a really bad bug at around six-seven weeks which made me feel almost suicidal! I thought it was superstrong morning sickness and almost lost the will to live at thought of going on like it for 34 more weeks! Turned out it was a sickness bug. I didn't eat for a week and a half and even threw up water at one point, so I was really worried - but am now now fine, at nearly 19 weeks, and have been reassured the baby is healthy and hasn't suffered from my sickness. I still get the odd pain and stomach cramp, I think everyone's different. Try to drink lots of water to flush anything unhealthy through your system - and explain the pains to your doc when you see them.

Good luck, and try to take to take it easy!

Kirsty x
