She is a cutie and I thought I would struggle with everything being all 'set in my ways' and all but the truth is the changes a baby brings is really no big deal.
Being a typical proud mom (once again, this being my first baby it took me MANY weeks before being called a 'mom' sounded right!) I have put a video of her on YouTube, check her out! Her first laughs & smiles at 7 weeks... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UVRMdy-zU0
Best of luck to you, Melanie

Hi I'm 36 and having my third child too! I have a son 5 years and daughter 18 months. Can't quite believe it only took 4 months this time to conceive this baby!
Ive got endometreosis and had 2 laparoscopies, surgery, and 'Clomid' to help ovulation to conceive my second child. I'm so pleased you are pregnant again after your 5 year wait! When is baby due?

Hi there
I am 43 and very unexpectedly 8 weeks pregnant having tried in the past to get pregnant to no avail. I clearly have read enough doom and gloom about the risks but as I never even expected to conceive I am just taking it a day at a time and looking after myself. Who knows what will happen, I can only try and remain positive (despite the hormones playing havoc!) I wish you all the best with your pregnancy. x

Hi there
I read your post with great interest as I am 35 and pregnant with my first baby. I went for my first midwife appointment today and everything went very well. I am 8 weeks pregnant.
We discussed in great detail what extra care I will receive following a myomectomy operation I had 3 years ago to remove 6 fibroids, one of them 15 cms in diameter. I have been referred to a consultant at the hospital. Very unusual to hear that we are similar age and have both suffered fibroids. Did you actually have an operation to remove it or have you still got it which is why you had problems conceiving? The reason I had my op was it would have been impossible for me to conceive due to where the lumps were situated.
So glad that I managed to fall pregnant afterwards and I haven't been trying that long so feeling quite pleased and very excited.
I would really like to know how you get on in your pregnancy so take good care.
Dawn x

hi dawn, i had a huge op to remove part of the fibroid last march, i had to go to peterborough, hospital which is over 2 &half hours away cos my local couldnt do the op, it was done by a new technice which means i wasnt cut, and then in august i had the remainder of the fibroid removed at my local, it was one big fibroid reaching almost 20cm, had to have injections for 7 months previous to op to help shrink it (these go under your belly button) also these jabs gave me temporary menopause (and no periods)nice!!!! i actually had 3 misscarriages b4 they realized the fibroid was causing the trouble, and was given a very slim chance of falling again, so im chuffed that it only took one period and wham bam thankyou ma'ammy consultant (who actually performed my second op ) was over the moon!! i will keep in touch with you as not spoken to any one with similar probs before x
