Parent craft classes

Hi ladies,

Just wondering if any of you have attended the parent craft classes and found them useful? Also how far gone are you when you attend the first class and how often are they? Are the parent craft classes the same as the antenatal classes but just a different name?

Sorry for all the q's..... I'm 22w6d and havent been given any dates yet for classes but I'm up at the hospital on Monday for a scan so will ask then but was just curious.

Thanks for your replies....

Hi there

I remembered going to the paent craft classes when pregnant with my first when I was about 34 weeks. It was once a week and lasted 4 weeks. It's like antenatal classes. They were actually really good. I wasn't expecting much at all, but we did learn a few things and we also did a tour of the maternity ward and the labour ward to know what to expect.
Your midwife will probably telle you about them in due course.

good luck with the rest of your pregnancy,

Parent classes

I am just over 34 wees pregnant and it was only 2 weeks ago at my last MW appointment that parent classes were mentioned.

I told her I didn't want to go to them. Ths will sound really weird, I have a thing about sitting in a room with a lot of pregnant women. I hate sitting at the ante-natal clinic ' cause I feel real awkward. I don't know if it was because when I met my hubby to be January '08 when I told him, the night we met that I never wanted to have kids or get married. Sounds funny now.

Really hate being pregnant, too uncomfortable, but looking forward to see my baby to see who he will look like.
