Anyone else feel they are a burden at work?

Hi all,

I am in full time employment, I work in care, looking after people with severe physical and mental disabilities.

It is bloody hard work, and I still am not really allowed any breaks because its so busy and if I do sit down for 5 I get the look of dissaproval or my ... manager will tell me there is something that I should be doing.

I swear this woman is picking on me ever so slightly, as I never hear her nagging other members of staff, its as if she seeks me out to check that I am not slacking in any way. I was incredibly dizzy yesterday and she told me I should be scrubbing the kitchen! I snapped back cos I felt like ... I'll probably get the sack for being rude to management!!

I just keep thinking Im not going to get any Maternity pay any way as I started in March, so why am I stressing my self out for a job thats almost minimum wageilty all the time.

Do you know what I mean my darlings?
Sorry for rant just interested if anyone else is havin this? What should I do?

Than ks in anticipation,
Hannah and 22+5 pink bump x

you are entitiled to breaks its against the law.

Hi hun

Sorry you are feeling crappy about work, sounds like this woman is either jealous, a mardy cow, or has a chip on her shoulder!! You don't need be made to feel like that at work especially when you're working hard. And the other girls are right - you are allowed your breaks by law. Okay, so we don't always take breaks when we're supposed to, but having a sit down for a few minutes is perfectly acceptable!!!! If you're feeling dizzy then you should deffo have some time off and take care of yourself you lovely lady!

Let us know what you decide to do.

Oh dear hun

Does sound like shes a lil jealous, and obviously taking it out on you.

I would try and get on sick. I haven't been in your position because I'm un/fortunately not working. If I was working though I would have been on sick since 15 weeks due to fainting/dizzy spells. I struggle getting upstairs without feeling faint.

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought by law you had to have breaks?

I would defo think about yourself and your lil girly bump, do whats best for you hun. Try and get on sick, I told my doc about my dizzy spells and he said its not 'normal' its your body telling you to slow down. Good Luck hun.

Love Toni, Rhys (1) and Lily bump (26wks today!) xxx

Thanks hun

I have an understanding doctor, thank god! gonna lay it on thick like you said. I love my job but feel like im about to drop off the perch!!

Thanks again, good advice!,
