Anyone naming baby after a family member?

Hi all,

not been on here in ages-hope you're all well.

Just wondered if anyone intends to name their baby after a family member?

I was thinking about naming the baby after my stepdad if it's a boy, prob is, him and m mum not getting on too well and have split in last few weeks. Think it's prob permanent (it'sbeen on and off for a long time!)

Anyone think it'd be too political? KNow it's difficult witthout you knowing them personally!

Appriciate any advice.

I think you need to think about what you want not what others think hun.

We like the name Freddie for a boy, both of my grandads are fred, and I was worried my OH's g.dad may feel a little left out but it's what we like and if others have any problems then tough lol We also like Evie for a girl and I wanted Ruth for a middle name as it was my g.grandmothers name.

Totally up to you hun, only you can decide and dont let anyone make you feel bad.

Naming the baby after a family member

Have you been close to your step-dad? If that is what you want to name the baby if it is a boy I would say go for it.

I am having a boy and he will be named after my OH's grandfathers, who are no longer with us. Also my OH is named James so hopefully he will turn out as amazing as his dad.
