Did home pregnancy tests work for you?

Why hello there,

Im from the ttc forum and im having a drama at the moment as im 3days late and have no af signs apart from an odd feeling down below......like theres some air trapped but im still not bloated.

Anyway ive done two tests and they were both negative, ive heard of women not testing positive for quite a few weeks.

So my question to you all is did you have your pregnancy confirmed with a home pregnancy test or did you go to your doctors to have a blood test? also when did you test?

Im so confused .... im so rubbish at waiting......

any responses would be great

.x.

wrked 4 me

Hi there,
Yep the cheap n cheerful tests worked 4 me with both my pregnancies!!!!
I did loads of tests in each of my pregnancies n used the cheap 99p ones, clearblue, clearblue digitals, predictors, u name it, I've tried em!!!! Every one of them was correct. I have also used em when they have been negative when I was tryin 2 conceive n they were correct then 2.
I haven't had a test done at the doctors as each time they have just taken my word 4 it n got me in contact with the midwife!!!

Good luck with all. mummyand2. xxx

Hiya

I bought a cheap pregnancy test after i missed my period convinced i wasnt pregnant Bought a test for under £2 and it came back positive, then weeks later convincing myself the first was wrong me and my partner bought another cheap one and got another positive.

Your best bet is a blood test from your doctor

Hello...

I'm not going to be of much use i'm afraid.

With my first pregnancy I tested at 5wks and got 3 positives, and with this pregnancy I tested at 8 wks and got 2 positives.

If you really think that you may be, then call your GP. Only you know your body hun.

Good luck, and lots of very sticky baby dust ***************************

Hey

Hiya,

I used cheapy ebay ones at first, I did one test two days before my period was due - there was the faintest line ever, two days later did another it got darker.

3 days after af was due a clear blue one came up positive.

It all depends on how quicky your hcg levels rise, can you not make an appt at the docs to put your mind at rest?
