Hi Ladies,

Over the last couple of days i have had really bad pain in my left hand side, just by my hip and it spreads up to my rib-kidney area. Also had some rust coloured spotting, im 7+3 with my second, i had spotting with my first at 9 weeks, so im coming here first to get opinions, before going to the dr.

Any advice would be gratefully recieved

Thanks for the replies

Went to the dr yesterday about the pain in my tummy and the bit of spotting, turn out i have a urine infection (again, i always had these with emmy) so i went to pick up my antibiotics, then done a spot of shopping, came home and had a missed call on my landline. thought nothing of it until the phone rang again, and it was the dr wanting to set up an early scan for me to check the placement of marshmallow!

To say i was shocked does not quite come close to what i felt! The dr i saw said nothing about sending me to the epu! So the dr rang me back this morning to let me know that she had arranged the scan for the 7th july at 10.10am, so depending on the outcome of the scan i shall let you know

I'm glad you got it checked out.

Well at least you can get an early scan to know everything is ok. How bad were the pains?

I'm in total paranoid mode cos the doc just dismissed it when i told her and she said it was normal.

I have booked in for an early scan privately on the 14th cos its sending me loopy not knowing if everything is in the right place.

I'm 7 weeks today and praying everything is ok, it's taken over 2 years to get to this point!!

Keep me posted with how you get on.

Clare xx

The pain is a sharp shooting pain, enough to make me stop what im doing for a moment and take a breath! I didn't know they were gonna refer me to the epu, it was out of the blue, but she wants to check the placing of marshmallow, and i quote ' just to be on the safe side' will keep you posted though

If your in any way shape or form worried about it or the pain gets worse, or you experience bleeding with bad cramping, call the out of hours dr's or go to A+E

Hi karen

I am 9 weeks pregnant, I remember you from the other side on ttc forum.

I also had this pain & a biege-very very light brown discharge I think its just the little bean burrowing/nestling into your uterus?

Just try to rest, put your feet up & relax,

Keepus posted & take care,

Hi karen

Hey, i'm not sure i'm much help as this is all new to me but i have just come back from the doc who has told me i'm 7 weeks tomorrow and i have pain on my right side and spotting and she said it was perfectly normal and dismissed it.

I'm guessing the level of pain makes a difference.

I'm still not convinced its normal and want and early scan for peace of mind, i would go to the docs if your worried although not convinced they'd do much!
