Going insane!!!

Hi ladies

Well its official this pg business is driving me insane. I had constant stomach ache and a few sharp pains down one side, doctor dismissed them.

Now had some brownish type discharge/blood and i am crapping myself, went to A & E this morning and the doc realised i'm scared senseless and booked me in a EPU tomorrow morning.

The fear is setting in, its taken me two and a bit years to get a bfp and i'm so worried we're going to have to go through it all again!!

My boobs dont really feel sore anymore, does anyone know if this is normal, my belly still feels bloated but considering the cramp i woke up with this morning it appears to have eased a little and i don't feel sick anymore altho the smell of coffee makes me feel ill.

I know getting stressed isn't helping but i really can't help it. Anyone had similar and been ok?

I'm so pleased i've got u guys to talk too.

Went for scan this morning and

they did an external and an internal one. They could see the pregnancy sac and yolk but couldn't see a heartbeat they think i'm earlier than the doc said i am.

They have asked me to go back in 2 weeks, so it wasn't bad news or good news. I am still bleeding brown blood which is heavier today but they said it could be anything.

I got no indication whether it is going to progress ok or not but they were lovely and friendly and made me feel at ease.

So now i have two weeks to sit, wait and pray.

Anyone else been in this situation?

Thanks

Clare

Really scary

The first few weeks of my pregnancy were a complete nightmare. My OH was on the phone to NHS 24 every other night. I went to a & e one evening and they gave me the number for the early pregnancy unit.
I first went there on xmas eve and it was soo early they couldn't make anything out. I had another scan about a fortnight later and they could see something.

Everone always told me if the blood is dark then it is old blood. One afternoon 2 weeks before my 12 week scan I started bleeding, it was bright red in colour. I was in a state, crying on the bathroom floor. My sister had to phone the work the work and tell what was happening. I had an eanother early scan, one that I kept my OH outside for. I was soo happy to see the wee bean jumping up and down like a loony.

Then when I was 18 weeks pregnant I ended up at the triage unit of the maternity dept. I had a scan and the little monster was sucking his thumb and had an internal examination by a young man named Colin ( that was pretty embarrassing). My OH was amazing and held my hand the entire time.

I have 1 month to go and I am still having problems. I have a lot of protein in my urine, my fingers and ankles have been swollen, all which are signs of pre-eclampsia.

I was actually given a gallon bottle to do a 24 hour urine test. All this and I am getting married on Wednesday. To cut a long story short pregnancy, for me, has been really stressful, dramatic and uncomfortable.

Karen and James Thomas bump 36 weeks today

Hi clare

How far along are you?

I had really bad cramps and pains from 8-10 weeks and convinced myself I was going to miscarry again but the doctor - like yours dismissed them.

I had to wait until 12+4 to get my scan + everything was fine, I had a really bad bleed at 17 weeks too - got referred to EPU and again bubz was fine. My blood was gushes and it was bright red so it doesnt necessarily mean the worst.

Its good that its brown blood as that means it old, I know no matter was anyone says you will be panicking and thinking the worst.

Let us know how you get on

Hey

Thanks for replying.

Doc told me on thurs i was 7 weeks but today they said 6, so i'm confused!!

These sites are great for support etc but some of the stories really make u worry! I've got butterflies i'm so nervous and emotional.

If think cos i have the cramps and the blood its more worrying,

How long did ur cramps last? I've been having them for a couple of weeks now.

Thanks for your support. I'm sure i'll be posting tomorrow once i find out. The worst bit is when they tell u to take an overnight bag!! Panic then sets in!!

Hey

When I had them early on they came and went throughout the days but lasted a few weeks.

When I had the bleed at 17 weeks I had them for a couple of days, but also got sharp pains too - when I had the scan they couldnt see where the blood came from but assured me the baby was fine.

I know everyone says dont worry you do get cramps because things are stretching / its your body getting used to pregnancy, but in my case this was true it wasnt anything sinister.

Please try to not read all the horror stories, miscarriages are very common ( I had one last Novemeber ) but there are soo many reasons for all these aches and pains + old blood making an appearance when you're early on.

I really hope everything goes okay for you tomorrow.

xx
