"6 weeks - silently suffering at work"

Hi

I am 6 weeks. Last week I didn't feel a thing. This week I have the sorest bbs imagineable (I have bought sleeping bras on the internet because they are just so sore in the morning). I have all day nausea and can't say the name of certain foods because it makes me dry retch. To top it off, everyone at work keeps saying "Are you ok?" and I have to just smile and nod.

Is anyone else silently suffering at work?

Thanks to you all for responding! I re-read my message and gosh it sounded quite dramatic. I was having such a horrible time at work that day! I hope I didn't give the impression that I am not pleased to be pregnant. I am absolutely STOKED! The great thing about finding this discussion board is that I can actually talk about it with someone other than my husband! (not that he isn't great but you know). We have also decided to tell after 12 weeks although we have already told family. It will be SUCH a relief to have it out in the open at work.
"Congratulations!!"

Hi

I am also at around my 6-7 week stage. I have been suffering with sore bbs since about week 3 as daft as it sounds and i know how you feel, my sympathy goes out to you. As for the nausea, your definately not the only one quietly suffering, i dont get morning sickness i also am like yourself with constant nausea throughout the day. I would like to know does anyone else out there suffer worse with sickness after every time they eat?

My appetite has just dropped so rapidly and with each and evry time i eat i feel worse? is anyone els going through this and do you have any advice?

Hi,

I am the same and had to buy sleep bras as I was in agony. Suffering silently at work with migranes every 7 days, concentration, a bit of nausea and tiredness. I am loving every minute though and can't wait to tell people but am like a cat on hot bricks waiting to make it to the 12 week mark. Everything crossed.

I hope you get through it okay, it will all be worth it.

"Congrats!"

Hi

Congrats to both of you! I tried to keep my pregnancy a secret at work, but was so ill at one point it was basically obvious! I was nervous, because work found out at only 6 weeks, and I hadn't wanted them to until 12 weeks, but they were all really good.

I did find that Polo mints were an absolute GODSEND at the start (I'm 20 weeks now) especially for the dry-retching stage. I just kept packets in my desk and handbag at all times and sucked one when I felt lousy. Hope that helps!
