Itching all over

Hey girls,

Starting to feel like a pain in the butt now, for asking sooo many questions!

I have woken up this morning to itching all over. I sometimes get it on my bump but the last few days, over my knuckles have started really badly and now my whole face and body is itching. Theres no rash (other than scratch marks lol) Just wondering if any of you beautiful ladies had any ideas what it was?

Hope all mummies n bumps are ok,

Alex, Megan (5) and baby bump 26+6 x

Thanks!!

Thanks Ladies,

I have got it mainly on my hands and face! Although not sure what to do as Communitty midwives office is only open between 1pm-4.30pm, and I haven't been able to call!! I'm really frustrated that theres no one to speak to, and all the message says if that you need emergeny help to call delivery suite?! No help what so ever!!

Any ideas??

i had this to

a while back i was so itchy all over - turned out it was the swimming pool i was going to as when i stopped so did the itching then went again few weeks later and it returned - i did call my MW though who said if i get it on my hands and feet to call up - and after returning from holiday i did get really itchy hands and feets - i called MW who sent me to hospital where baby was monitored and i had bloods taken to test for obsetric cholestasis - it only took a few hours for the results and turned out all was fine but its best to be safe from sorry - some one else also had the same thing like a day after i had posted i think she also had it checked and all was fine it may have been the heat etc but still go just in case.

Hope that helped.

I would phone your midwife

It's might be nothing. Maybe you've changed the shampoo, shower gel or something else you use and are now reacting to it?

But I would phone your midewife and get checked out as itching can also be a sign of complications.

Just to be on the safe side.

Hope everything is OK

Hey

i would def get it checked out, mild itching all over is common in pregnancy but severe itching can be a sign of something called obsetric cholestasis, it is commonly associated with jaundice too, it usually runs in families though. hope all is well

xxx
