warning moan

Hope everyone is okay. I'm so unhappy, the left side of my mouth is killing me. I've had toothache for weeks but it kept me up all night and I gave up and got out of bed at 5am.
I hate dentists (I have a proper fear of them) and mine is private anyway so they don't except mat exemption. Also I don't even know which tooth it is.
Does anybody know if I can use anbersol? Clove oil isn't working and tastes minging anyway. I don't know how much longer I can cope with the pain.

Also I went to the hospital yesterday for high BP, turns out thats all fine but my baby is measuring 23/24 weeks ish on scan (can't measure bump as I'm too overweight) and I'm 28 weeks. I got asked if I smoked which I never have done. Have to go back in 2 weeks for a full growth scan. My son measured 3 weeks ahead on 21 weeks scan and this bubba is way smaller. Good news is baby is healthy other than a bit on the small side.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply

I went to docs other week and went on a high dose 7 day course of antibiotics so its very unlikely I have an infection. If I went to the dentist I would defo have to go to my own as I'm so afraid (i'm really that bad) so emergency dentist is out of the question and I can't afford to go atm. I think I need a filling too and I've been reading up today that they have to use the lower dose numbing stuff and I've always needed the highest dose and about 4 injections lol.

Ive been rinsing my mouth with warm saltwater and it seems to be easing the pain a bit (touchwood). If my face swells I will be straight on the phone to nhs direct.

My only worry with having a small baby is if I'm early like I was with my son. He was born 3 weeks 2days early and weighed 7lb 6oz (so not small for being early) lol.

Thanks again

I would recommend going to the dentist

I have read that infections in your gums can cause complications in pregnancy.

I would pluck up the courage to go see the dentist and get checked out to be on the safe side.
Is there anyone that can go with you for moral support?

Hey

Sorry to hear that things are too good for you at the moment. In relation to the toothache, a lady put a post on B+T a few weeks ago with some top tips on it and she included the following....

* if baby is teething or if you have a major tooth ache invest in Ashton and Parsons baby powders they are positively the best and herbal too so no need for constant painkillers

Now ive never tried this but a couple of other people replied to the post and said it worked total wonders and said it really really worked so maybe its worth a try.

With baby measuring smaller than her dates i wouldnt worry too much, firstly she still has a while yet to catch up and secondly a scan isnt always correct, with my son i was scanned at 28 and 34 weeks as he was measuring small for his dates and each time i was told that he was smaller than he should be and that i was to expect a small baby but when he was born at 40+4 he weighed in at 7lb 4oz which i think is about average.

Even if it turns out that she will be born smaller than average there are so many things the doctors can do now and many babies born at just a few pounds go on to grow up perfectly healthy.

At least with the additional scans the doctors can keep an eye on her and you get to see her a few more times before she is born.

Take care.
