Advise on dopplers

Hi Ladies,

I'm after some advise on dopplers.

I have my 12week scan in under 2 weeks and I am feeling very nervous as scans hold bad memories for me & OH on 2 occasions last year as they both brought us bad news. We are hoping for 3rd time lucky & I am staying positive this time. I just want to reassure myself before I go & the only way of doing this is by hearing a hearbeat first.

On Youtube it shows women using these dopplers at 9 & 10weeks and you can hear the heartbeat. Have any of you used one with success this early on in pregnancy?

Would really appreciate any advise you have,

Thanks

Hi

I used my doppler from 10 weeks and have always found a heartbeat but then I know other ladies who weren't able to hear it so early on. I think it depends on the individual and also on the doppler you use. I have the BT 200 with LCD and would definitely recommend it I hope all goes well!!
Lucy 33 weeks today xx

Hi

Hi i tried using one at 9 weeks and couldn't hear anything, then tried again at 11 weeks and 4 days and heard a heart beat, they say it is very difficult to get a heart beat early on in pregnancy. But Many women have found it possible to hear.....

I hope if you do try it is with every success... however if you cant hear anything just keep trying....i know we laid for about an hour a day trying to find hb and ws fantastic when we found one.

I hope all goes well...but if you cant find one doesn't mean anything wrong...just might be slightly too early

Good Luck
