I've just been reading through everyone's posts and I'm glad that we all feel the same. Got married on 20th April and went on honeymoon for three weeks and now I'm pregnant. Can't believe how quick it's happened. I thought it would take months. I went to the docs yesterday who said I'm 5 weeks today. I expected her to do a test to confirm though, she just said that my word is good enough. Has anyone else been tested? Also she booked in to see the midwife in 6 weeks! I thought I'd get seen straight away. I'm so paranoid that something is going to go wrong - I'm sure I'm not alone.
I'm being completely crazy and neurotic already. I called my friend into the bathroom tonight to look at my wee as it was pink. I rang my friend who had a baby 9 weeks ago to ask what it could be (there was nothing on the tissue paper) then I remembered I ate a whole pack of beetroot...
Please tell me I'm not the only one convinced something will go wrong?!

I'm 7 weeks and 3 days exactly today, i did 3 tests to begin with then a 4th last week, still dont really believe im pregnant. I've had no morning sickness as yet but have suffered from tender breasts and tiredness, also an awful constant taste in my mouth. I go to see my midwife in 2 weeks, i think i will feel more confident and happier about things once ive seen her. The only thing i have noticed is that my IBS has flared up really badly, I've read on some websites that this can happen, is anybody else suffering from the same problems???
Any feedback would be good
thanks

OMG! You're the same as me - I'm ashamed to admit that I have done 5 tests. They were obviously all positive, but like you I still can't quite believe it.
The last week has been bad for me. I feel so queasy all the time and I have the horrible taste too. Bought some motion sickness bands today and they haven't helped at all. Perhaps I've not got them on my pressure points?!
I don't suffer with IBS as such but since I got pregnant I am suffering with constipation.
Oh isn ... glamorous!

Hey,

I'm nine weeks pregnant and what your doc said is right. They take your word for being pregnant which really unnerved me. I wanted comformation that what I was saying was correct.
Your so not alone about things going wrong! I'm so paranoid that I havent told anyone. Only me and my partner know and I'm desperate to tell my mum lol. It's so hard, all I want is for someone to talk to about everything, like the gross morning sickness I'm being put through!

Hello, i was reading your message, and I feel the same as you, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I am 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant, with our first pregnancy. My husband and I had been trying for about 1 1/2 years to get pregnant. So we are so excited! I feel like I am constantly worrying that something bad is going to happen. I am paranoid about everything...including foods, painting going on in our house, what is too heavy to lift, miscarriage, etc. I don't know how to stop being sooo worried. I feel like this pregnancy is going to be a long one since I am so worried already!! I think we can find comfort in knowing we aren't alone with worrying...I'm glad to know I'm not the only one!

Hi,

Congratulations to you.
I am new to all of this to. Just founf out in pg, doctor confirmed i was 5 weeks today. Got first midwife appointment in two weeks and my first scan booked for end June. I am so excited, my husband and i are over the moon.
I am experiencing nausea and slight dull crapms, plus tiredness, but doc said these symptoms are very normal. I am worried about getting to the majical 12 weeks but i am confident everything will be ok.
"Me too!"

I've just found out yesterday and had it confirmed by the doc today that I'm five weeks too. I'm completely paranoid that something will go wrong i'm pleased i'm not on my own!!!!
"Congrats!"

Hi,

Congratulations indeed!

You really are not alone, I am 9-10 weeks and exactly the same.

I also found it odd that the doctor took my word for it. I'm seeing the midwife at the end of May for the first time. I was however lucky enough to get an early scan as I'd had fertility treatment. I thought I was 10 weeks and they've now put me back one week. I am just so paranoid as well but glad I've actually had proper confirmation now that I am pregnant.

Good luck with everything. Let me know how it all goes? When's your due date?

Love
Lex

Thanks for the reassurance that I'm not the only one!
I'm due on Jan 17th. When's yours?
Are you really tired? I've got a second job too and was meant to go in Monday and tonight but I think I'm gonna have to give it up as I just don't have the energy and know I should be taking it easy for the first few months.
Congrats to you all too it's very exciting!

xx

Hey congratulations! I fell pregnant straight away after being on the pill for six years, I was amazed! Doctors dont test us any more as the home pregnancy test are so reliable now! I done three tests lol. I am now 19 weeks and still paranoid lol, I dont think it will go away until I have had my baby!

Just take things easy and enjoy your pregnancy xxx

i know exactly how your all feeling i am now 32 weeks pregnant not worried too much as i guess when your this far you start to be a bit fed up carrying your heavy load around, i leave work in just over two weeks which i cant wait for but i know i will bw bored afer that. anyway i think all women who find out they are pregnant are paranoid but it should calm down after a while i guess you just have to look after yourselves. good luck to you all anyway
