We conceived on our wedding night!

Hi, girls! I just wanted to get some advice about being pregnant and raising a baby, considering I just found out I'm expecting baby #1!!! My husband, Liam, and I just recently married and saved ourselves for marriage. We honeymooned in Hawaii, and on our wedding night, we made love for the very first time, as both of us were virgins. Now I really understand why everyone has told me that sexual intercourse is so amazing. Incredibly, Liam and I conceived a child together during that very first sex act, something that we think is very beautiful and pure. After we got back from Hawaii, I went into the doctor because I wasn't feeling too well, only to leave knowing that I was pregnant. When I told Liam that I was carrying his child in my womb, we made love again for the second time. I think that maybe pregnancy sex is better than normal, but that could be from my lack of experience. Now that I am expecting, I really feel inexperienced and need advice from you all!

Best wishes to you girls and your babies!

Congratulations!

Hi, Rosalie! Congratulations on your pregnancy! That is a beautiful memory that you will cherish forever. My advice to you is to take time for yourself and be very healthy during your pregnancy, but to also take time for your relationship with your husband. My husband and I have continued a sexual relationship throughout each of my pregnancies, and we feel like it is a really natural and beautiful expression of our love for each other. I think that you share my view. Once the little one is here, just devote yourself to what the baby needs - you will learn as you go - and don't be afraid to refuse help every once in a while!

My husband and I have never used birth control before, and we really believe, because of our faith, that each time we make love, we should be willing and open to the creation of a new life. So, here I am, pregnant with my seventh baby!!! Like you and Liam, Will and myself made love for the first time on our wedding night and every other night during our honeymoon - when we returned, I found out I was expecting our eldest son, Ryan! It is so exciting and beautiful for me. Maybe you will be on the same path sometime in the future, but until then, good luck, sweetheart!

Love,

Jen + 38 wk Lucy bump
