Marshmellow hand!

Morning Ladies and Bumps...

I have woken up this morning with a really puffy and painful left hand... I had a painful blood test done on that arm yesterday evening, but I think that is just coincidence...

I took my wedding ring off a while ago as it's smaller than my engagement ring, but now my engagement ring is stuck and doesnt look like it's going to budge!

I have tried soap, fairy liquid and shampoo and conditioner, but no movement... I think it's made it worse!

Does anyone have any tips?

As it's just my left hand, do you think I may have slept on it funny? Has this happened to anyone else?

I want my engagement ring off now, it's starting to make me panic!

I have been trying to walk around today with my hands above my head, but I'm getting strange looks in the office!

Hey hun...

Mine have been swollen the last few days too, and my feet, feel like the elephant woman lol!!

When you get home sit with your arm up above the height of your heart, you could sit with your elbow on the arm of a chair and have your hand up? Give it a while to drain away some fluid, then put it under cold water for at least 10 mins, or use ice wrapped in a damp tea towel. Then use vaseline, and see if that helps.

My ring is a bit tight but I haven't took it off in 7 years so I feel gutted that it may have to come off now

Hope you get it off, and stop tugging at it and getting stressed as that will increase the blood flow and make thw sewlling worse lol.

Panic over...

Have managed to get it off... Had hand under cold water, then greased up on Neutrogena hand cream (like Vaseline) then my friend at work uses a paper clip but that didn't work, but held my breath and worked it off... My poor finger is so sore and red...

All I have to worry about now is getting the ring back home from work without loosing it!

Thanks for your tips girls... xxxx

Hiya hun

Try holding your hand under a cold water to reduce the swelling first of all.
Then get a piece of thread and wind it around your finger (don't tie it). Then rub some kind of cream/vaseline around it and you should be able to get the ring off! Don't keep trying to pull it if it won't come as you'll make it more swollen.

Hope this helps!!! It might be you slept on it funny as it's just the left hand, but it could be something to do with the blood test as well.

(v jealous that you finish work so soon!)

Thanks

Hi Sophie

Thanks for the tip, I will try that when I get home...

Do I tie the string under or above the ring? What does that do?

My poor finger is red now... Will stop fiddling with it!!!

Thanks again

Vicky xx
