Maternity exemption cards

Hey ladies and bumps,

Just a quick question, just wondered how long roughly it takes to get the MAternity Exemption Card through? I sent my form off over a week ago but still nothing! I cant remember how long it took last time so I thought I would check.
I have a dentist appointment next Friday and was hoping it would be back by then.

Hi,

Not sure how long mine took to come, but if it doesn't come in time, you will have to pay but they should be able to give you a form to claim the money back when your card does come through.

I don't have one!!

I had this problem when I was having megan too. No one gave me the form or even mentioned it!! I didnt get one with her until i was near the end, and dont have one again this time cos i forgot!!

Will have to mention it to MW on tuesday.

Alex your MW is supposed to give you your form at you booking in appointment - naughty MW!!!!
It will run until little one is 1 so bully your MW till you get it!!!!

I'm now wondering if she maybe put the form in one of the packs she gave me, but didnt tell me? Although the same thing happened last time. I think they do it on purpose sometimes!

I will demand it on tuesday lol!

How are you feeling? Can't believe you got put back a week at your scan, the same happened with my first and I was gutted! I was very surprised when my dates were bang on this time!

Yeah I think some MWs are just grumpy people but demand it Alex your intitled to it!!!!

I know I wasnt to gutted though coz I was just going on the dates I stopped my Pill so it wasn that bad and it is only a week but now I'm waiting for my 12 week mark AGAIN!!!!

I didn't get mine until 14/15 weeks and my midwife sent my form off for me at 9 weeks. Hopefully yours will come before then. Does your dentist accept maternity exemption, silly question but mine is a private dentist and doesn't, only NHS dentists accept them or summat.

Yeah I have a NHS dentist and they exepted it when I was pregnant with my daughter so should be ok. Just hope it sometime this week.
