Private scan?

Hi girls

I am contemplating getting an early private scan done to put my mind at rest. DH thinks I am being stupid and says we should not waste our money and wait until the NHS 12 week scan. I am 8+4 at the moment, have had no symptoms except period type cramps and am worried there is nothing there!!!! Have got a bit of bloating too and am having to undo trouser buttons at work lol!!!!

I have been told that I may not get a scan until I am about 15-16 weeks due to a waiting list in Leicestershire. I have my first midwife appointment on 14th September so I don't know whether I should wait until then to see if it really is going to be 15-16 weeks before I get a scan, and then book a private scan, or just book one now!!!!!!! Feel a bit in limbo land at the minute!!!

Oh decisions decisions!!!

I ve booked one

Hiya,
I have booked one for the 12th Sept.

I had a miscarriage in May so I need to know whats happening. I dont see my midwife until Sept 14th and I know I wont get a scan for quite some time- it took them a week to scan me last time and even then I was referrred by A and E!!!

I'm going with Babybond. I read some good review from ladies online and the clinic is in our town. Its £99.

I'll let you know how they are!

Hey hun!

If you have got some cash, then go for it. I went for a private scan at 16 weeks as I was away for my 12 week one and they were rubbish at rearranging it. It is so worth it just to have peace of mind. Men dont seem to worry like we do, they have to understand that our bodies and minds are going crazy at this time and sometimes the NHS just doesnt cut the mustard!

Good Luck

Hannah and lil lady (32+4)xx

Hey there!!

I had a private scan cos i'm soooo impatient. I waited until i got my scan date before deciding whether to have one or not.

Cos i'm gonna be 14+4 weeks when i have my scan on friday i had a scan done at 11+1 weeks, i am so glad that i had the scan as it really made me feel more relaxed, i still worry and i am still nervous about friday but it was the best £99 i have ever spent.

See if u can get ur date thru first then u can decide whether to have one or not.

Keep us posted
