I know this isn't the right forum, but...my daughter walked in on sex!!!!

Okay, this may seem hard to believe for a woman pregnant with her seventh child to have never had a child walk in on sex before, but it's true! However, last night, Will and I were having sex after we put all the kids to sleep, and Sophia, our five-year-old, got out of bed and came into our room, only to see us on the verge of reaching our climax! It was so embarrassing, and then, to make it worse, Will pulled out just as he heard the door open, and he was still erect! Oh, I am just so confused - I don't know what to tell her at this young age. We sort of just said, "Sweetie, is there something you need?" and she replied, "A cup of water. What were you doing? What is that thing on daddy?" Will about started crying with humiliation then, so we just said we were sharing some special mommy-daddy time, and we usually only make love in private. Should I talk to her again? What is the right thing to say?

Oh, an update from my previous post about the pressure coming from the baby being so low. My doctor said the pressure is from my uterus sagging a bit (?) and that it is normal with a late-stage pregnancy, especially since I've delivered several children naturally before. So, now we are just still waiting for Lucy to make an appearance!

Please help me!!!!

Good news, though, my doctor says I'll probably be going into labor in a few days based on how I've been doing lately! We are all so excited to meet baby Lucy!

Ah bless her little cotton socks!!!!! I'd have probably burst into a fit of the giggles!!! I dont have this problem yet as my daughter is only 16 months old and still in her cot but I guess I have it all to come!!!!!

I'd just keep it as it is with Sophia that it was mummy and daddy special time and if she brings it up again just say the same thing then she wont get confused, she is only 5 and dont need to much information just yet. How sweet though!!!!


Oh, and Amanda if you read the title of the message it is cklear there will be TMI but thats a choice you make by reading it if you dont like what you see get out of the post and DO NOT reply - you dont have to comment just walk away from it!!!

Hi, I just wanted to say that I copied and pasted Jen's post from the Babies and Toddlers forum because I think this one gets more attention, and I wanted to help her out since we have been chatting a bit.

Anyway, Jen, for your question...I haven't been in that position since my daughter is only four months old, so when Brogan and I have sex, she doesn't bother about it. But, when her and the new baby are older, I'd imagine I'd handle it much like you did. I would just tell Sophia (or my daughter Risa) that daddy and I were making love, which is something special that mommy and daddy do alone to show how much they love eachother. Maybe I'd add that sometimes when mommy and daddy make love, they can make a baby together, but it is a very private action - depending on her interest. And, as for her question about Will's erection, I'd just say that is daddy's penis, you know, like how boys have penises and girls have vaginas. You could even say it is just like your brother's penis (if she has seen that). Depending on how far you want to go, you might say that daddy's penis gets very hard so that it can slide in mommy's vagina when we make love, so that daddy can release a seed from his penis and mommy releases an egg from in her body, and we make a baby that way. Clearly, I haven't really thought this out yet much considering Risa's so young. I'm sorry that happened to you, though, sweetie!
