Didn't have to wait long...baby is here!

Hi! I just wanted to bop on here really quick to give an update. I said late last night that my MW said the baby would be born in the next three days, but we didn't even have to wait that long! I awoke this morning early with sharp contractions and we went into the hospital at 5:30. After a moderately difficult three-hour labor, our daughter was born. We are very excited about her arrival! Anyway, I'm pretty tired and a nurse will probably be coming in in a minute to tell me to nurse the baby, so I'd better be off. Just wanted to quickly update you all (thank god my husband brought my laptop from home so I can do this and send out an email to all our friends - I love technology!)

Anyways, introducing Lucy Jennifer Parker! Born on the 4th of September, 2009, at 8:37 AM, weighing 6 pounds 7 ounces and 21 inches long! A perfect baby!

Good news: We are being let out of the hospital today, which is great. It will be nice to get back to the chaos of home. Believe it or not, even when it's just a day or so, I really miss Will and the kids! I love having such a big family - very interesting, I'll tell you!

Oh, as for your question, I can't say just yet if we'll have more! Um, it's always a possibility though! We don't really practice contraception - never have, likely never will...

Well, I'm going to go call Will and get Lucy and I packed up a bit. Let's see how that goes, I'm a bit sore!

Thank you to Clare, Sarah, Kat, and Janine for the congratulations and well wishes! Today has been a really long day for me, obviously because of the birth, and then with Will bringing the other kids in to see Lucy! They were so thrilled!!!

Anyway, I'm going to get some rest now. My parents are flying in tomorrow to see Lucy and help with the kids since I'm less than able to handle the little ones on my own since I'm recovering from labor and delivery for a few days...thank the Lord for my mom!

Oh, by the way, Sarah, Sophia (and Rachel) did ask where the baby came from, but, before I could answer Hannah shouted out, "From mommy's tummy, you goofs!" Ah, I love my children!
