Totally fed up, and had enough
Hi Ladies,
Well...
Spent 4 hours in the hospital on thursday! I have been having cramping pains throughout the day since thursday morning, and I'm just sooooo tired and fed up.
They monitored me and it showed up some small tightenings, my cervix is still closed too, baby's head is 2/5th's engaged though which I'm pleased about. I have just had a big blubbing session, mainly as I'm tired, but these cramps are driving me mad. Baby has spent last 2 days constantly pushing down too, which actually stops me in my tracks, it's so painful!! I just feel like all these pains are for nothing, as the doctor said they arn't doing anything as cervix is still closed. When he gave me an internal he could clearly see and feel my cervix, is this a good sign, as I know they are sometimes round the back of baby's head??!!
Sorry for for moan, i'm just fed up and very tired now! Paracetamol doesn't touch the cramps which isn't much help
Hope all you mummies and bumps are ok.

Hey orla...
Thanks for asking about me.
I had a really bad day yesterday, and was in tears last night! My emotions are all over the place.
Baby is feeling really low and my belly really hurts, especially if I sneeze... OUCH!! I'm so uncomfortable and very sore, and soooooo exhausted (think that's what's making it all seem worse).
Took my Daughter to school this morning and all the moms said bump looks really low compared to yesterday?! Still gettin the odd niggley aches and pains but nothing regular like the other day. Baby seems to be constantly nudging down too which really hurts! lol
God I feel like all I do is moan lately lol!!
Got my consultant appt. next wednesday to see when they will book me in for a section (hoping for sooner rather than later lol). Although I'm not convinced I'll make it to 38 weeks, which is when they usually book you in. I just have a feeling that somthing will happen around 36wks, crazy I know, and I'll be very fed up if it doesn't lol.
Sorry for the long post... again.
How are you feeling? My whole pregnancy has flown by, I actually got really scared the weekend when I realised I could have baby in 3 weeks!!!! Yours will too fly by hun, I guarantee you will be where I am before you realise it!!

Good, good
I cant believe it! what a turnaround, I guess everyone has their moments of madness! Bless 'im for working hard and looking after you, but you are doing THE most important job of all, making a baby! Just think you have under 5 weeks left, I know it doesnt feel like it now but all this pain will be worth it! Make sure you get loads of fluids down ya! and rest, rest, rest!!
I know what you mean about it hitting you that you are having a bubs, I have moments when it doesnt really cross my mind and I forget that Im preggers, then I think oh ... 'Im having a baby!!' Things like thinking about xmas and that it wont just be me and my man!!!
Little lady is fine thankyou, just bought a huge baby name book cos we are having a little bit of trouble deciding. What about you, you decided upon any pink and blue names?

Ohhhh names lol
Were having a nightmare, we can't agree on anything lol.
I really like Evie Ruth or Erin Ruth for a girl (Ruth was my great grandmothers name) but OH isn't sure.
As for a boy I love Finley Simon (after OH), but OH hates Finley!! I also love Flynn, and Freddie, all F's for some reason lol!
I know you like unusual names, and I do really like Flora for a girl but everyone I know hates it. Do you like it? I could give you a massive list of girls names I like but only a handful of boys, god help us if it's a boy poor thing will be nameless xxxx
|
| |
I love flora!
Its so cute and girly, dont listen to your friends, its you and your OH decision, Flynn and Freddie are also lovely, what a shame your man doesnt like them, what names does he like?
I am a bit of a hippy so I love all the nature names Rain and Willow have been on the list but my BF just thinks Im mad. My OH is portugese so also wanted something spanishy and mediteranean, I like Anahi which is spanish for beautiful like the flower, Oh ... its so hard, she'll probably end up being called Sarah! lol!
Any feelings as to what colour bubba is? blue or pink?xx

Hehe..
OH doesn't like flora either lol!
We just went through some names and we could only agree on Erin for a girl and Sebastian, Freddie and Logan. But they are not definate he changes his mind like the bloody wind, one day he likes a name the next he doesn't lol. Bloody men!!
I know what you mean when I was having my daughter, we had Lewis for a boy for definate but I wanted Niamh (pronounced nyma) and OH wanted Isobelle, and Megan-Louise was a name that was in the background, then when she was born we both looked at her and said "megan then?" at the same time!! Was really weird , so think it will probly be the same this time round lol.
I know what you mean, My OH is half irish and his mothers family are strong practicing catholics so I wanted an irish name which is why I picked Finley and Flynn, but her hates them, and Erin alo means Ireland lol!
I was so sure bubba was a boy, but now i'm really not sure!! Really weird cos with Megan I was positive she was a girl, I'm a bit kinda psychic with stuff like that which is a bit freaky. I 've had it in my head that my waters will go at 36 wks so we will see lol, I doubt very much that will happen but I just have a feeling if you know what I mean?!

Awww.
Hey, Sounds like baby is giving you a rough time at the mo.
Good news that the head is begining to engage though.
Think it is a good thing that he can clearly see your cervix, as I think it is normally quite high and starts to lower towards the end, meaning that your body is getting ready for the big day!
I hope the cramps ease off for you and give you a break, did they not perscribe you any painkillers? I know with my daughter they gave me co-codimal, which is safe during pregnacy and stronger than paracetamol, however can make you constipated, (so they gave me a mild laxative with it) As due to having spd, my daughter had loads of room to move around and decided to spin on her head, like a break dancer, in my pelvis, I was in imense pain!
Good luck

Hey...
Think this baby has just had enough like me lol! Either that or it is a serious tease?!
I'm really happy that the head has started to engage, as with my daughter she never even attempted it and that wa a big sign that she wasn't gonna come out on her own lol.
The doc said that he (sorry if tmi) could see white discharge by my cervix and took a swab, and was asking me if it was sore. Which it wasn't at all, but isn't white discharge normal??!! As I have had it all the way through!
Woke up a few times in the night with quite bad pains, and this morning baby is curled in a tight ball really low, which is really uncomfortable! I didn't know we could take co-codamol, so i'll defo give that a try!
I had been taking RLT and stopped it as I thought it might be the cause but I stopped taking it for 2 days and the pains actually got worse, so I have started it again it the hope that it might help kick somthing off, as surely all these signs have got to be an indication that somthing will happen soon?!
Sorry for the moan... again!!
Hope your well

oh dear hun
I can totally sympathise with how your feeling hun. Just think not too long to go now. That's fab news about the baby's head starting to engage though. My bub is only 1/5 engaged atm.
I don't know what to suggest with the cramping other than take it easy and have lots of warm baths.
Sorry I can't be of any help, hope you start to feel better soon hun.

Hey hun...
I forgot you have been having these pains too, haven't you? I think i'm so down as I keep thinking all of the aches and pains are for nothing as they aren't doing anything, wouldn't b so bad if they were helping to dilate me.
I'm really pleased about baby starting to engage, as MW said last appt that it was low but then put it was free on my notes! Got to see her Tuesday so I'll see what she says, she's a bit half soaked sometimes lol.
I have taken to either bouncing on my excercise ball, or bouncing in a squatting position lol.
Hope your and lily bump are ok.

Heya
Just been thinking the pains might be the head engaging itself. Seems 2 of my mates are having them and they have been told the head is engaging. I'm taking RLT capsules, swear they won't do anything for me. lol
My midwife can't feel bubs through my fat, a midwife at the hospital told me my bubs was engaging. I could tell anyway with how low the doc had to scan me when I went to see if she was breech.
Keep going on that ball it can't do any harm.
I'm ok, over my flu now and Lily seems to be nice and big, swear she is huge, crapping myself (my son was 7lb 6oz, 3 weeks and 2 days early and my bump is nearly double the size this time lol).

Hmmm
I think it may have nudged down further since thursday. I've needed to wee more often and when I do go it hurts once finished. It's like my bladder is like a cushion, and when it empties the head pushes back onto my pubic bone and it kills lol.
I'm taking 3 RLT tablets a day, and am tempted to up it as it says between 3 and 6 a day.
I'm sure these MW's say things like that on purpose to be mean. I would ask to go to hosp every week and get checked instead as it's part of your care to know how bub is lying.
Baby has gone really quiet again today too... god I just wish I knew if it was the start of somthing or not lol. Been feeling rubbish last few days, really tired, and been a bit stuffy like im coming down with somthing.
Just thinking if they give me a section I could have bubba in 3 weeks (23 days!!) lol.
Glad your feeling better now! I bet she isn't huge, and just remember your always bigger with your second .
