Advise on baby movements

Hi Ladies & bumps,

Can you all please tell me how many weeks pregnant you were when you felt your baby move?

I am now 19+4 & still hvn't felt my lil bubs move? Thank god I have a doppler & listen in on the heartbeat once/twice a week its ranges between 140-150bpm.

I am starting to worry that there is something wrong?

What do you all think? Does this sound normal or is there something wrong?

I can't believe how quick the weeks are goig. I log in everyday to catch up on you all,

Hope you are all well,

TC Sara & 9+4 bump x x x

No problem

Hi Sara,
I know you have been reassured already but I just thought I would add on. I first felt my baby move at 21 weeks. And then it was only a tiny, tiny movement and then I didn't feel anything for a few days after. Just to let you know that when you feel the first movement it is possible that you won't feel another one for a few days. It is on and off at that stage and only from 28 weeks on you kinda have to keep an eye on it.
So don't worry, you are perfectly OK and maybe you have the placenta at the front of your womb which usually delays the feeling of movements too.

Honestly, you are fine.

Hey x

I was around 22 weeks when i felt her move properly, i had what i thought were little flutters before, but think it may have been in my head.

Dont worry hun in a few weeks u will feel the baby loads and that will be reassuring each day x

I have woried about everything so far so ur not on ur own x

Hey hun

I wouldnt worry, i only started feeling small fluttering sensation from about 19 weeks and even then it was quite to tell what it was, im 26+1 and its only in the last 3 wks or so that ive actual felt bubs move properly. So i wouldnt worry, easier said then done i know i use to be paranoid about it all the time. Sometimes can depend on where your placenta is, mine was at the front so any baby movments were taken out on placenta then on me lol

Emmy & 26+1 bump

Hi there.

Hi Sara!

Everyone experiences movements at different stages. I can honestly say with my first child that i hardly ever felt him move, at all. I was only young and didn't really worry. Everything went well though. With my other babies i have felt them from quite early (i have a very worn in womb - lol). It could be that you don't really recognize your baby movements yet, they are not very prominent at first. I am 25 weeks and would say that although i felt movements from quite early (because this is my fourth). If this had been my first i would only say that over the last 3 weeks they have become really noticeable. Your baby will double it's weight over the next few weeks and then you should feel it better. If you are busy all day you probably won't notice them. Could be when you sit and try to feel it, baby is asleep... It also depends greatly on which way baby is facing. Sometimes i dont feel a movement inside but notice my top move a bit. If it is kicking towards you spine i don't think you feel it as much.

Anyway, you can hear babies heat so i really wouldn't worry. It will be any day now and one you recognise the movements there's no going back!! HB looks good!!

Thanks ladies......

........for taking the time to reply

I'm really grateful for the advise, it makes me feel reassured.

I'm 20 weeks tomorrow and still no sign on any movements,

I have my 20 week scan on Tuesday so hopefully fingers crossed we will see bub jumping & dancing around.

Thanks again,

Hope you are well,
