Glucose test

Hey ladies

Im due to have my glucose test tomorrow morning, i just wanted to know after i have drank the lucozade am i allowed to drink water?

I know my midwife said to drink the lucozade at 9am , she will be over to my flat at 10am to take the bloods but i just wanted to know if i can drink water during that hours wait.

Ive been trying to contact her to ask but its her first day back at work after going away to get married so i know she is all over the place today.

Im quite nervous that its going to come out high , not because i have had any symptons or any real reason just because time is flying and im really not prepared for all this and birth.

I'm not too sure but I don't think you can. I had my test done at the hospital and I wasn't allowed anything from 9pm at night (food or water), hospital took my blood at 9.30am, I had a glucose syrup drink and a bit of water and then I had to wait two hours (again having nothing whilst waiting) then I had my bloods done again.

that will be absolutely fine it will not cause any change in ur blood sugar at all. good luck
