Omg how sore!!!

Hello Ladies

I have been in absolute agony today with my left boob/nipple. I have had a burning/itching sensation and have just wanted to scratch it which made it bright red.

It was so sore i had to go to the toilets at work and put cold water on it.

Has anyone else had this?

Hope all ladies and bumps are ok

Love

Sounds as if u have mastitis... Im over from B&T... i had mastitis when i was breast feeding - i had a red rash on my boob which felt like ive sat in the sun all day and just burnt my skin it was also very itchy! I would contact your MW and see what she suggests, im sure u can get it whilst being pregnant.

Hope this helps

Hey lucy

Thanks for the advice, how long did it take to go?

It appears to have dried out and and my nipple is peeling, how bizzare!! I have got some nipple cream so i'm going to keep it moisturised.

Congratulations on the birth of Rosie.

hey Clare,

i know how you feel i get the same problem with my right one and omg the pain, but please if your going to take any advice off me DONT USE COLD WATER !!! it makes it worse! if your the same as me its the cold that triggers it off! ive gotten it with all 3 pregnancies and i never find a way to cope with it! ive had to leave the supermarket once because i got soooo cold in the frozen food isle i was nearly in tears with the pain! LOL!!! get some good nipple cream and keep them moisturised. im not sure if there is any way of avoiding it though, unfortunatly !!!

hope this helps...and that it calms down for you!

take care...

Orla 22 + 4 week active bump...xxx...

Hi orla

I'm not sure what triggered it off yesterday, i know what you mean about the frozen food isle in the super market tho i was in tesco other day and oh my god the pain.

Yesterday was more of a burning pain like i'd been stung! Rather than the cold pain. Can't believe what pregnancy does to you, although i wouldn't change it.

Thanks for the tips, going to invest in nipple cream this weekend.

Take care

Love
