Is it ok?

Hey ladies and bumps just need a little reasuurance.

I have a bladder infection got antibiotics from doc yesterday called cefalexin to take 1 four times a day 250mg each.

Im just seriously worried about it harming my baby or causing a defect. I called midwife and she says doc wouldnt give me anything that would harm baby but ive just had one as she says i NEED to take it as its really important, i just feel really guilty now for taking it

Anyone else been on them or any other "safe" antibiotic during pregnancy and there baby be fine?
Sorry just need some reassurance otherwise it will bug me all day long

I have started the course of antibiotics as like one of you ladies said if not it can lead to something more serious.

Hiya

Dont worry I had urine infection with first and had to take antibiotics and baby was fine x Hope you better soon x

Hi

Hey hun,

You'll be fine, I've had them twice so far and I'm on Amoxicillin at the moment for a chest infection.

Dont worry too much

Hey

Sorry to hear youve picked up an infection. Dont worry about the antibiotics, ive had cefelexin in my first and my sone was absolutely fine
Your midwife is right when she says you need to take them because bladder infections can lead to more problematic things if they arnt treated specially if they are left in pregnancy.

Your bump will be fine, just get yourself better

hope ive helped
