Sure start maternity grant?

Hi ya, Im currently on job seekers allowance so Im entitled to the sure start maternity grant which you claim at 29weeks, £500.. Iv filled out the form, was just wondering do i need to send copies of anything to prove im on job seekers? also how long does it usually take to come through as reallllllyyy need the money to buy the rest of my baby things..

I sent my form off when i was 29 weeks but got a rejection letter as i was on job seekers so had to wait to be moved over to income support which you can also do at 29 weeks then resent it off and got it under 2 weeks it came really fast. just make sure you swap over you job seekers to income support first or they just reject it and then you have to send it again..

id check about the jobseekers then as my friend had hers and she is on jobseekers also so id double check im on income support but they change it all the time xx

no u just get u midwife or doctor to fill out the back page and send it it asks u ni number and they check there comps so no what money u get it takes around 2 weeks so longer y friends was 10 days if by 2 weeks u havent heard id ring them i sent mine last week xxx

lucky i have nearly everythink my 10 yer old broke my leather sofa bby jumping of the arm so need a new one now i was looking forward to getting that to get my last few bits have fun with yours xx
