Head engaged question

Hello ladies,

Now this will probably seem like a daft question, but I am a bit clueless!

I have a midwife appointment on Thursday, I will be almost 37 weeks, just wondering will the MW check if the head is engaging? if so how does she check, does she just prod you or give you some sort of internal? if that is the case I might treat myself to a wax!

Thanks girls,

Hannah and 36+3 girl bump x

Hello dear!

Good to hear from you!
Yes she will just prod you quite hard to see if she can feel the head. It's abit uncomfy because she really digs her hands in lol
I am 4/5ths engaged!
My 36 week check is on thurs too! I'm getting rather excited now lol we don't have long to go!!!

Hello

Hiya,

The MW should just push and prod around the bottom of your belly hun just so she can feel where baby's head is, mine normally gets me to lie down and then bring my knees up just sightly and then the puts her hands on either side of my hip / pelvis area and has a good squeeze to check where it is!!!!

Dont worry she wont be having to do an internal to see where babs is!!!!

Take care
