Anyone had their waters 'go'?

Hi all

I was wondering if anyone can help on what it is like when your waters 'go' as mine didn't with my daughter, (they had to break them when I was in labour)

Is it a big gush or can it be a small amount?

Becuase I was having a nap at my mum's earlier while she took my daughter to the park and when I woke up, I didn't need the loo, but thought i'll go to the loo then go downstairs. Got up and as I was walking could feel a trikle down my leg and my pants were soaked through! I don't think it smelt of urine so am wondering if it was my waters?

What do people think?

When my waters broke

when i was pregnant with my daughter i was a day off 37weeks when my hubby and i went to be just got comfy when i needed to go to the toilet so i went and every time i got back into my room i needed to go again i went though 3 pairs of undies so i went to the toilet once more when i rang my mum to ring the hospital and she rang me back telling me to put on a pad and go up there it was my first baby so i had no idea wat the hell was happening so we picked up my mum went to the hosp they asked me to wee in a cup to test it they cum back saying my waters had broken i was there for about half an hour an man did i keep needing to go to the loo they sent me home told me to go back at 7.30 in the morning i was right on 37 weeks then... so had a 8 or more hours labour had a a beautiful baby girl weighing 5 pound 15 onces.....

then with my son i was 36+6 days on mothers day 2008 when we went to pinjarra for lunch when i had little pains but was not sure wat they were got home and had a sleep woke up around 6.30pm went to the loo and i had lost my pug and i lost heaps of blood went to the hosp around 12.00pm well right on 37 weeks again we had to find sumone to look after our daughter they ended up breaking my waters after that 15mins of pushing and my son was born weighing 6 pound 10 onuces

i think the same will go with this pregnancy so at least we can get sumone to look after the kids right on 37 weeks..... lol

Thanx guys

I phoned the hospital and they asked me to go up so they could check me over, they said it could have been a trikle of my waters, as what I described was defiantely more of a waters going than wetting myself type thing, however they could not see any pooling when inspected.

However, as has been the case recently, my blood pressure was high and now have +1 protein in urine and headache so they kept me in for a couple of hours to discuss with doc what to do, but eventually allowed me home, going in on fri to be monitered again. Seems like I'm spending all my time at the hospital at the mo!

....

Hay hun,

When my waters broke with Mya it felt bit like do you know when you are on and blood comes a bit like that but my trousers would be soaked and everytime i changed i would soak through took me 3 times changing to realise that it was my waters lol - i used a hole packet of mat pads whilst in hospital with them leaking was like a period but water.. it smelt really sweet to..

Love Sammie x Mya x bump 39+4 xx

Sounds like it

Ive had 3 babies and am currently pregnant with number 4 my waters went with my last baby, i had just got into bed and i heard a pop and then a felt a warm trickle as i stood up it came away quicker when i rang the hos they told me to put a sainatary towel on and if i soaked more than 5 in half hour to go up to del suite which i did when i got there they informed me it was my hind waters not my fore waters which they later had to break themselves. try and see how manty towels you soak in half an hour hope that is of some help,

Good luck

Emma and 16+4 Daisy bumpXXX
