Hi Girls!!
Last night I have been really sick ( vomiting etc...) and this morning as well but I dragged myself to work ... I told my boss that I was not feeling well and propably go home before lunch.....I took an appointmentor the Gp for 12am so I left work around 11am.
My boss was ok with it but I feel guilty about not going to work ......
I don't want people to think I am taking advantage of my pregnancy by taking some time off......
I am now 29 week s and only had been off sick 2 days since the beginning of my pregnancy so I don't why I have got this feeling!
Did it happened to you????
Thanks!
Emilie

I am so happy to have some news from you, so long since the last time!!!
Don't feel guilty. You are pregnant and what you feel and fear, you are the only one to know it and you have to listen to your body. If you feel like staying at home, stay at home, it is better than going to work and looking sick, longing to go home.
You are entitled to some days sick so take them, building a baby is something tiring some times, listen to yourself.

I am at the end of my 38 weeks and i felt guilty when i stopped to work to be on maternity leave because i said to my boss that i was fine and wanted to continue til 3 weeks after the date i was supposed to stop. But, but, i had a "fausse alerte" while i was at work, 3 days before this date and i went straight to the hospital where i stayed for the night. They told me that it was simply a sign that i needed to rest so, i left work earlier than what was my normal date (tu m'as suivie ? j'aurai du finir le 13/8, je voulais finir le 26 et du coup j'ai termine le 10). I felt guilty at the maximum but there were nothing else to do, and since this time, i am ok and the midwife who told me that i was going to give birth earlier was not right because, the due date is for the 25, and baby is still inside !!!!! maybe it is because of all this time off ...

So, i definitely think that we need to rest a ma-xi-mum and not feel guilty at all...

Good luck and tchat soon,
C.

Oh my god your date is coming really quickly now!!!
One of my friens at work is due 26th and she still working ( i think she is mad!!!).
I know for work I shouldn't worry, my husband sais the same and I should just rest but I don't find it so easy!!!!
I can't believe the weeks are flying so quickly in couples of days you will have your baby with you! Do you have everything ready????
When we went to France we bought LOTS and LOTS of things!!! It was really cheaper and there was more choice. My family paid for most of it. Everytime we were going shopping they didn't want to let us pay! So we treated them with a special dinner!
But we still have to buy some stuffs!
Do you know if you are going o have epidural or gas ( or nothing!!)? Because I am starting to think of it more and more!!!( i think it is because i dreamed every night that I am in labour......!!!!)
I hope you will have time to reply before baby arrives!!
Enjoy your sunday!Take care
Emilie
"No epidural"

normally, i don't want to think about having an injection in my back, i prefer to have the gas and air, eventually the pethidine but i really want to avoid the epidural. Not brave, just scared !

Otherwise, yes it is unbelievable how the time is flying by, you are right but my baby is still inside. The room is finished and quite pretty, i bought all the clothes between Laredoute and vertbaudet but surely less than you!! i guess you must have all the clothes for 1m, 3m and 6m already, aren't you ??!!
I just bought 1m and will go later to buy more.
I don't know for you but it was strange to buy these clothes, i couldn't believe it was for my own baby, and there are so many different choices, but now that it is done, i am glad and look forward to seeing my little boy in them.

About your friend who is still working, i think she is crazy and if after the birth she is down and tired etc... she won't have to think a lot about the reason of that. She is not intelligent.

What about you? when are you stopping?
Did you take some days off finally ?
